Weather Planning

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010

Any kind of storm can be an employer’s potential worst nightmare, especially if an employee must make a long commute in order to reach the business. Of course, the weather is unpredictable, and while we might have a general idea of what could happen, we never know exactly how it will turn out. An employee should always prepare for the weather, just in case. For example, if the weatherman says it’s going to snow, maybe you could get your clothes ready the night before, and allow yourself an extra half hour to get to work.
The best thing to do if any complication arises is always call ahead. If you’re going to be five minutes late, don’t wait until the last minute to phone your business and give them the courtesy of knowing you’re running late. If a situation arises where you can’t catch your train, or it’s not running, there are always plenty of options provided for you to still get where you’re going in a timely manner. No matter what complications may come about, always plan ahead and try to work around the problem.
